Project Description
Hackney Service Centre is a state of the art glass and steel addition to the existing Town Hall built to house the Local Authority’s administrative staff and a place of contact for the borough residents. The new building has five principal floors, with a main entrance from a new plaza area on Hillman Street. The main focus of the building is a wide open atrium, housing the Council’s public reception, known as the One Stop Shop, with a waiting area, cafe and call centre.
Skyklass was responsible for the installation of the following:
- Stick curtain walling system on four stair cases
- Two lift shafts made of stick curtain walling systems (total 1800 sq.)
- Louvers and stick curtain wall system on ground floor
- Roof copings
- Terraces formed of stick curtain wall systems
