Project Description

The redevelopment and expansion of the King’s Cross Station, one of the biggest and most complex transport hubs in London. By far the most impressive feature of this project is the glazed half-shell looking roof supported by 16 perimeter tree columns and a central funnel system making it completely independent of the Grade 1 heritage Western Range building and free of supporting columns. The project with its glass panels and metal sheet cladding has won over 20 highly renowned awards from which is worth mentioning the “RIBA National Award 2014”.

Skyklass was responsible for the installation of the following:

  • Main concourse roof and western canopies formed of:
    • Glass panels

    • Gutter system
    • Roof skylight
    • Entrance canopies
